The French are very proud of their heritage and do their utmost to insure that the preservation of antiquities is always at the forefront of any modernization program.
As you can see from these photos, things haven't changed much (from all outward appearances) in the last 30 plus years.
Knowing how it was and how it is now, I really hope they don't change anything ... I love the place just the way it is.
