People started turning out around 9:30 for the 10 am start.

RCMP opened the parade with their local contingent marching by.

Our local pipe and drum corps came next and added the Scottish influence to the whole thing.

Pacific Sands had their blimp out for all to see. It's a time share resort right on the beach front

From here on in it was local businesses that had something in the parade - cars, trailers and floats

The Fire Dept was well represented by all departments from around mid island

Parksville, Coombs, Hilliers, Qualicum Beach, all sent a contingent.
