Most people come to Africa intent on seeing a number of animals ... usually the first on the list is the Elephants, followed by the Lions.

Pantera Leo is low slung, large and powerfully built. They are quite well designed to be the apex predator in the African outback. The one thing that helps them maintain that ranking is the fact that they are cooperative hunters - they hunt in packs.

Lions are successful in the hunt probably less than 25% of the time, which means they are constantly on the look-out for the next meal. This pride has recently made a kill - their bellies are full. They will gorge their meal and are not too keen on sharing with their neighbour. The lionesses usually do the hunting but the males will take over the kill and eat first, which doesn't seem fair at all.
