Another camp some distance from Maun - in the Makapagadi pans (central Botswana - north side of the Kalahari desert).
Hot ... really, really, hot during the day. All the animals govern their activities around the never ending search for water. The local river hasn't had water in it for over 5 years but the wildlife people have water outlets (wells) strategically placed around the area and the animals know where every one of them is.
They congregate at each one every day.
