To say I missed Las Cruces would be an understatement. The house there was our home for 7 1/2 yrs, and leaving it last year was very hard. We decided this year to try somewhere new and different. We've not been to Mesa Arizona save on one other occasion (to visit friends), so this time we elected to spend 3 months in a rental and play some golf. The rental idea was awful, but the idea of having a place of our own once again seemed the right thing to do. After looking around at various options, we found a beautiful little rancher (engineered home -1098sq ft) in Palm Gardens RV park, in central Mesa.
We must have hit it just right, because we both loved the house, and it fit well under our price range. We'll be making some changes (get rid of the carpet) and swapping out some furniture for something more our style, but all in all - this could be suitable replacement for Las Cruces.
***update*** At just the time we wold have closed on the deal, the Covid-19 virus showed its ugly head and we had to escape north to the border before it closed completely. Quarantining in Mesa was not an option for us, so we agreed to postpone the purchase. By the middle of July is looked like it would hang on in Arizona and U.S. for some time to come, so we made the arrangements and completed the sale by wire at the end of July. We had the same inspector who gave us the original inspection come back, look around and take some additional photos for us. We closed effective 31st July 2020.
