Coombs Market etc

A 5 minute drive from our house is the small little hamlet of Coombs. there is a market there that is famous as it has goats on the roof (they have a live grass roof) and its a real draw for the summer tourists. There is also an Italian restaurant (Cuckoo's) in back of the market, it is really good. There is also an ice-cream outlet that sells the best ice cream on the island.
Beside the market building there is a fairly large square with a series of small boutiques that sell all sorts of tourist junk as well as a lot of imported garden statuary and hippy styled clothing.
it's well worth the visit is you have an afternoon to look around. We get our produce at the farmers outlet behind the market. Best fruits and veggies anywhere, and best prices as well.
